About Global Remote Services
Global Remote Services (GRS) opened in January 2004 as an independent contact centre in Bucharest. Today, GRS brings together a team of around 500 people across two sites in Romania, Bucharest and Piatra Neamț, delivering multilingual inbound, outbound and back-office services in more than 20 languages for international brands. GRS is part of Be Ys Outsourcing Services (Be Ys OS), the BPO branch of the Be Ys group.
Quality has been part of the GRS story since the very beginning. It was formally recognised through the ISO 9001 certification in 2009, and the commitment to data protection was reinforced in 2024 with the ISO 27001 certification.
What Do ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 Mean for GRS Clients?
ISO 9001 – Quality Management
The internationally recognised standard for quality management systems. For clients, it means that GRS processes are documented, monitored and continuously improved, so every customer interaction is handled in a consistent and reliable way.
ISO 27001 – Information Security
The international standard for information security management systems. For clients, it means that their data and their customers’ data are protected by a structured, audited framework of controls covering confidentiality, integrity and availability.
How Does an ISO Certification Cycle Work?
An ISO certification cycle lasts three years:
Year 1
Certification: the management system is assessed and the certificate is issued.
Year 2
First surveillance audit: the auditor checks that the system is maintained and effective.
Year 3
Second surveillance audit: a further check of ongoing compliance.
End of cycle
Recertification audit: the certificate is renewed for a new three-year cycle.
In 2026, GRS completed the final surveillance stage of its current cycle for both standards.
The 2026 Audit Results
The second surveillance audit for ISO 27001 was conducted in July 2026, followed by the second surveillance audit for ISO 9001 in September 2026. Both audits concluded with very good results and no nonconformities.
These results confirm that the GRS quality management system is maintained and operates in accordance with the requirements of the standard, and that its information security practices continue to meet internationally recognised criteria.
Behind the result: our people. This outcome belongs to the GRS teams, whose time, know-how and dedication in preparing for and supporting the audits show how deeply quality is embedded in our daily work.
Looking Ahead: Recertification and ISO 9001:2026
In 2027, GRS will undergo recertification audits for both ISO 9001 and ISO 27001, marking the beginning of a new certification cycle. Preparations will begin well in advance.
The current GRS ISO 9001 certificate is issued under the 2015 version of the standard. Following the publication of ISO 9001:2026 on 16 September 2026, GRS is preparing to embrace the new requirements, with the possibility of carrying out its 2027 recertification against the updated version – a further step in our commitment to continuous improvement.
